Sassafrass Pottery - Sarah Moore 

 

Sarah was born and raised in Pasadena, California, one of the preeminent centers for the Arts & Crafts Movement.  At a young age Sarah exhibited a talent for drawing and painting.  In 2000 she discovered her passion for clay which has become her canvas.

 

Using high fire glazes as her pallette, she is inspired by the spirit of The Art's and Crafts Movement.  Many of her themes are drawn from her childhood , growing up in Pasadena, and her travels along the California coast.  Her work is often compared to the highly coveted "Saturday Evening Girls".  Sarah has captured the charm of the Arts and Crafts Movement while giving it a style all her own.
